Jeroen Vandesande
Jeroen Vandesande approaches sound and composition with a strongly exploratory mindset. His work blends avant-garde compositional strategies—such as game theory and chance operations—with contemporary DIY methods including no-input mixing, chaotic feedback systems, and self-built electronics. Through musical performance, Vandesande reflects on the conditions that shape our communication, on the possibility of harmony and its disappearance. Central to his practice is the idea of the “game” governing human interaction. He experiments with the shifting roles and dynamics between composer, performer, and audience, and also explores how these relationships can be reflected visually.
