Symphonie d'une combustion, Clarice Calvo-Pinsolle 2025

In a near future marked by extreme climatic conditions, suffocating heat is omnipresent, forcing people to take shelter from the intensity of the sun’s rays. The scarcity of rainfall has turned rain into a rare event, where each drop, upon touching the overheated ground, evaporates instantly, creating an oppressive soundscape. Vegetation, adapted to these hostile conditions, has undergone mutations, becoming burning entities that appear almost threatening to humans. One encounters plants filled with scalding water, feeding on heat; they survive in darkness, and one can hear their cries — the drops of their sap falling and evaporating into smoke.
